NMS Healthcare of Hagerstown, LLC

Poor ratings are not the only problem this nursing home has. In December 2016, the state of Maryland filed a lawsuit against Neiswanger Management Services (NMS), which operates five Maryland nursing homes, all of which have subpar ratings.

The lawsuit alleges that over 1,000 elderly residents were tossed from NMS nursing homes to make room for patients who could pay NMS more money. Many of these alleged victims were sent to homeless shelters or unqualified nursing homes.
