Garrett County Subacute Unit
Ten years ago, Garrett Regional Medical Center added a short-term nursing home for patients that are not good candidates for a nursing home but do not really belong in a hospital (i.e., insurance will no longer pay for the high cost of hospital care.)
The Subacute Rehabilitation Unit at Garrett Regional Medical Center is not trying to take on a lot. This is a 10-bed nursing home. But they are doing a good job. We cannot find any lawsuits filed against Garrett County's Subacute Unit. Medicare, as you will see below, has given good reviews. This is the only five-star rated facility in the surrounding area.
